Tweeting Willow
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Microsoft commissioned Harvey & John to create a social tree for their world partner conference in Washington DC. Tweeting willow worked to connect people both at the event and online using Surface tablets in a novel way. Standing tall this futuristic willow tree evoked intrigue and exploration, inviting guests to engage in something they were familiar with (twitter) in a new and emotional way.
HOW IT WORKS
With each new tweet about the event, a bird lands on one of the branches. The branch then gently bows down and the bird then chirps to reveal the tweet. Once all 9 branches are full, they move back up as birds fly off and the tree starts again to seek new tweets.
